Mildly Serious ("we," "our," or "us") operates the LogYourLog mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Email address (required for account creation)
Username (required for leaderboard participation)
Profile photo (optional)

Log Data When you create a log entry, we collect:

GPS coordinates and location data (latitude, longitude, street address, city, state, country)
Location name (if provided)
Location type (residential, commercial, or outdoor)
Experience rating (0-10 scale)
Notes (if provided)
Timestamp of entry

Authentication Data If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive a unique identifier from that provider to link your account. We do not receive or store your password from these services.

Purchase Information If you make in-app purchases, transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) or RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your purchase status but do not store payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account
Store and display your log entries
Calculate statistics and analytics within the app
Display your username on leaderboards (only if you opt in)
Process purchases and manage subscription status
Respond to support requests

3. Data Storage

All log entries and personal data are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your logs to external servers. Your data remains on your phone unless you choose to export it.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share limited information with:

Authentication providers (Google, Apple, Facebook) solely to verify your identity during sign-in
Payment processors (Apple App Store, RevenueCat) to process in-app purchases
Law enforcement if required by law or to protect our legal rights

If you opt into the public leaderboard, your username and log count may be visible to other users.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Access & Export: You can export all your data as a JSON file from the Settings screen at any time.

Leaderboard Opt-Out: You can choose whether to appear on public leaderboards in your profile settings.

Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen. This action cannot be undone.

Location Permissions: You can deny or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. The app will still function with manual location entry.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. Since data is stored locally on your device, security also depends on your device's security settings (passcode, Face ID, etc.).

7. Children's Privacy

LogYourLog is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
